DESCRIPTION:\nON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7, THE VII EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL COCIDO CONTEST WILL BE HELD AT THE MUNICIPAL LEISURE CENTER (CMO)\n\nThis gastronomic brotherhood is in charge of spreading and publicising the Traditional Cocido, and especially the Cocido con Pelotas, typical of the city of Torrevieja.\n\nAbout twenty teams will participate in this contest in the different specialties of the Cocido, which are: International Cocido, Spanish Regional Cocido, Traditional Cocido con Pelotas and Cocido con Pelotas authentically Torrevejense\n\nAs it is an amateur competition, professional chefs are not allowed to participate, who may, however, participate in exhibition mode or out of competition\n\nOne more year, the Department of the Elderly of the Torrevieja City Council, together with the Gastronomic Brotherhood of the Cocido con Pelotas, organizes the International Stew Contest, this being its seventh edition.\n\nThe Contest will take place on Saturday, February 7, at the Municipal Leisure Center (CMO), where the twenty teams that are expected to participate in the contest will meet in the different specialties of the Cocido which are:\n\n-International Cocido\n\n-Spanish Regional Stew\n\n-Traditional Stew with Balls\n\n-Cocido con Pelotas authentically Torrevejense\n\nThe International Stew Competition is open to all cooking enthusiasts, of legal age, regardless of profession or nationality. Participation may be either individually or representing an Association, Club, Peña or Group of friends. \n\nAs this is an amateur competition, professional chefs are not allowed to participate, who may, however, participate in exhibition mode or out of competition.\n\nAll participants will receive commemorative awards and medals.\n\nRegistrations can be made from next Thursday, January 15, at the Offices of the Department of the Elderly, located at Maldonado Street, nº5, or by calling the Gastronomic Brotherhood on the phone 620 40 82 84, ending the registration period on January 27, at 2:00 p.m.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
