be celebrated in Torrevieja with the traditional <strong>bonfires on the beach<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">On the eve of the night of San Juan, hundreds of people gather on the beaches of Torrevieja to celebrate a purifying ritual that consists of lighting a <strong>bonfire in the sand of Torrevieja beach<\/strong> and jumping on it, in order to get rid of everything bad that has happened to us during the year.<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio has-medium-font-size\">Subsequently, the ceremony ends <strong>by putting your feet in the water<\/strong> for a short time to receive all the force of the sea.<\/p>\n\n<p>At 11:59 p.m., a large <a href=\"https:\/\/torrevieja.com\/en\/events\/fireworks-castle-torrevieja-2025\/\">fireworks display<\/a> will be fired from the Juan Aparicio promenade that can be seen from all the beaches of Torrevieja.<\/p>\n\n<p>On Tuesday, June 24 (San Juan) will proceed to the <a href=\"https:\/\/torrevieja.com\/en\/events\/crema-2025-bonfire-molinos-del-calvario-de-torrevieja\/\">crem\u00e1 of La hoguera of the Molinos del Calvario neighborhood<\/a>, which is located on San Jos\u00e9 Street on the corner of Joaqu\u00edn Chapaprieta Street.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>On which beaches in Torrevieja is the night of San Juan celebrated with bonfires?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La Mata Beach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Playa del Cura<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Playa de los Locos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Playa de los N\u00e1ufragos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Usually, the City Council <strong>distributes about 15,000 kilos of pine wood<\/strong> (which leaves hardly any waste) for people who want to make bonfires on each of the city&#8217;s beaches.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Where is the wood collected?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><em>Firewood distribution points:<br\/><\/em>\u2013 <strong>Los N\u00e1ufragos Beach<\/strong> (at the entrance to the Poniente pier)<br\/>\u2013 <strong>Los Locos Beach<\/strong> (downtown area)<br\/>\u2013 <strong>Playa del Cura<\/strong> (northern area)<br\/>\u2013 <strong>La Mata beach<\/strong> (next to the pumping station), on Avenida de los Europeos, next to the lifeguard post and, in La Mata town, in front of the Plaza de Encarnaci\u00f3n Puchol.<\/p>\n\n<p>Access to the beaches of Torrevieja will be controlled by the security forces, to prevent the use of wood that can leave dangerous waste on the sand.<\/p>\n<div
