I purchased a second hand dish and box for 150 euros and self tuned to satellites named: Astra 1C/2C - Astra 2A/2B - 1 SIRIUS 2 & 3 - Hotbird - and can receive plenty of channels free to view including ones I have set as favourites: Sky News, BBC News, CNN News, France 24 News (English Language), Euro News, Horse & Country, True Movies 1, True Movies 2, Paranormal Channel, Movies 4 Men, Movies 4 Men 2, Film 24, Zone Horror Movies, Life, Zone Romantic Movies, Zone Reality Movies, Zone Thriller Movies plus loads of music, children's, religious and other channels. I am more than content with this.
I am now better off financially without Telmicro and will never use a middle man again.

Thanks to your reply. Just a few more questions.

1: This system you have is direct to the satalite and not bounced y/n

2: is your box pre-programmed or do YOU set it up or do you need the engineer to set it up.

3: Did you choose the programs from the list and if so could you choose all or are you restricted.

4: Are other lang. chanels availiable.

5: Can you choose to by your own box or is it special.

6: if you don't mind what was the total price for the complete instsallation inc all materials ( what is supplied ) and labour.

    thanks again
The satellite dish is pointed straight at Astra which will give you access to all the channels transmitted and it is all free to air , not retransmitted or bounced.
    Many different language channels
the full installation comes with dish and receiver and is programmed by the engineer and you have tuition on how to do it too.

The full package would be 985 euros

    kind regards

    martin

    Hi

The sky and english channels transmitted by anyone other than straight from the astra satellite are totally illegal.

We are at present installing a communal TV system with a 2.4m dish directed at the Astra satellite and cabling aprox 40 houses to the system which is totally legal and free to air.

If you live in a communal or urbanisation the same can be done for all your residents and holiday makers.

Is the picture good for all fourty properties. once they are conected to the 2.4 dish is it just a matter of byeing a decoder and does it mater which 1. Also how may a what chanels do you pick up

    Alan
The equipment installed is attached to one dish which then allows as many properties as needed to view free to air channels.
You chosse from aprox 63 channels which ones you want to view.
The equipment is programmed for 20 english and 6 spanish channels.

    Does this help

    kind regards

    V. interesting article in today's Euro Weekly paper about TV and Telmicro. They have it recorded from BSkyB, BBC and ITC that NO COMPANY has the right to re broadcast their channels in Spain. NO COMPANY. If you can pick them up, fair enough. I am one of those who cannot afford to keep wasting money which is why I am content with what my second hand dish will pick up now.

Not originally, no. That's why I think the bloke that got howled off here for saying the newspapers were partly to blame was right (Mick94). You can only go by the advert and the official looking contract. I often wonder if there is the equivilent of trading standards out here.
