Torrevieja \u00e4r en kuststad i s\u00f6dra delen av Alicante-provinsen p\u00e5 Costa Blanca. Den h\u00f6r till Vega Baja-distriktet. Norr om Torrevieja ligger Guardamar del Segura, v\u00e4ster om finns orterna Rojales och Benij\u00f3far.<\/p>\n

Sydv\u00e4st om Torrevieja finns Montesinos och San Miguel de Salinas och lite l\u00e4ngre v\u00e4sterut Bigastro och den gamla staden Orihuela. Avst\u00e5nden till de n\u00e4rmaste st\u00f6rre st\u00e4derna \u00e4r 41 km till Alicante norr om Torrevieja, till Elche 23 km i nordv\u00e4st och till Murcia 53 km i sydv\u00e4st. Det intressantaste och mest i\u00f6gonenfallande att n\u00e4mna om Torrevieja f\u00f6r en f\u00f6rstag\u00e5ngsbes\u00f6kare \u00e4r dess ber\u00f6mda saltlaguner, den ena bl\u00e5 och den andra rosa. De tv\u00e5 lagunerna tillsammans med sina naturomr\u00e5den t\u00e4cker 55% av kommunens yta och omfattas av en skyddad naturpark.<\/p>\n

Annat v\u00e4rt att n\u00e4mna om Torrevieja \u00e4r dess 20 km l\u00e5nga kust med sina sex fina playor – La Mata, Cabo Cervera, Los Locos, El Cura, Los N\u00e1ufragos och Fer ris samt de klippiga bukterna mellan Cabo Cervera och Los Locos.. Klimatet i Torrevieja \u00e4r mycket behagligt med milda vintrar och varma somrar. Temperaturen varierar fr\u00e5n 18-25 grader under en stor del av \u00e5ret.<\/p>\n

Under de senaste \u00e5ren har Torrevieja utvecklats till staden med b\u00e4st ekonomi i Vega Baja-omr\u00e5det. Den har nu \u00f6ver 100.000 inv\u00e5nare. H\u00e4r finns folk fr\u00e5n \u00f6ver 180 l\u00e4nder och kulturer. Under h\u00f6gs\u00e4song kan det totala antalet inv\u00e5nare plus bes\u00f6kare uppg\u00e5 till en halv miljon. Staden har blivit en av de f\u00f6rsta och mest popul\u00e4ra st\u00e4derna f\u00f6r ett andra hem (\u201dsommarstuga\u201d, \u201dsemesterhus\u201d). En m\u00e4ngd sp\u00e4nnande projekt \u00e4r p\u00e5 g\u00e5ng som till exempel det nyligen invigda \u201dConservatorio Superior Internacional de M\u00fasica\u201d , som \u00e4r en handikappanpassad musikh\u00f6gskola med tillh\u00f6rande stora konsert- och kongresshall med 1500 sittplatser samt en mindre sal f\u00f6r kammarmusik och liknande.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
