firstline airconditioning units

[stacey]

does anyone know where I can get hold of an English language instruction booklet for the "firstline" airconditioning units (purchased from Carrefour)? Unfortunately, my Spanish is somewhat lacking where operating instructions are concerned.

Try www.freetranslation.com it wont give you the instruction book but you can have fun typing in some of the spanish instructions and getting a 'free translation' - it can be quite funny, remember often this is a literal translation word for word so the meaning can be quite staggered. We have used it for our contacts whilst waiting for the lawyer translation and to translate copies of the letters the lawyer has sent to the builders - like i said it can be quite funny!
The other thing to try is the manufacturers website, they often have online instructions and the sites can be read in different languages. We did this for our spanish mobile phone when we couldnt get past turning it on.

Did you install them yourself? If not did you find a reasonably priced installer?

Firstline aircon

There's no English translation version of the handbook according to Carrefour and I was unable to find one on the web. That said, the remote control is "in English" so using that is no problem. Other than that, don't forget to take out the filters and clean them from time to time.
Earlier this year Carrefour recommended Fernando Marco on 965705982 to instal the aircon for Euro189. Three guys turned up from Tecnielec and did the whole job in little over an hour. No complaints.

If you email me at markwhite@supanet.com with your email address, I will forward you a copy of the operating instructions in a MS Word document.
