  • electricity and water charges

    i know that this topic has been raised several times before but having read past posts I cannot find specific answers to the following;

    having paid the initial connection charges -

    what is the monthly iberdrola standing charge?
    what is the monthly aguagest standing charge?

    I understand iberdola will either do e40.30 pm sorted out at year end or do a monthly bill (presumably reading meter each month?). for a non-resident the latter sounds the best option. does this incur any additional charge? is this availbale for water also? how does one organise it? (I have followed instructions for iberdrola on-line accounts).
    what I am trying to work out is - even if I don't use any water or electricity in a month what will come out of my bank?

    any help appreicated

        iberdola tarriffs -

        Chris and others - further earlier mail many thanks for useful help. we have now sorted out electricity and have contract and first bill. can I ask a bit more - you state your supply is 5.5KW and you are on tariff 2 - mine shows as 5.75kw and tarriff TL 1E. Plus my price is 9.3007cent/kwh. my first bill for just 21 days with just me in there for 4 days and a guest for 1 week, for consumption was e19.44 for 209 kwh. does this seem a lot - I have 1 a/c unit and just standard other electricals. Chris you mentioned your price was 8.3 cents I recall.
        anyone know what the difference is between the tarriffs (apart from the price) and does the consumer have any choice or does it all hinge on the potencia? do other users have 5.75 kw or have we been landed with more than we need and are now paying for it?

        Liz

              Lizzy,

              Our solicitor has just arranged for our electricity meter to be installed and has arranged for a power of 3,3 kw meter as this is the cheapest. She said we could get it upgraded if we wanted to but this would be more expensive per month. I don't know the actual monthly charge but she said it would cost 99.04 euros for connection to the electric.
