  • Telefonica overcharging ADSL

Does anyone have the same problem as I have.
Ever since they increased speed to 1024 Kbps, they insist on charging me 73,85 euros for ADSL instead of the 39,06 which I contracted for. For the past two months, I have protested and got a refund of the difference. Last month they said that they would change my details back to 39,06 and reduce the speed to 512 Kbps, which I was happy with. Alas, this month we're back to the overcharge, so I've got to start all over again.
Is there anyone at Telefonica that will listen?

I upgraded from dial up 56k to ADSL and I have only recently found out they have been carging me for 2 internet connections!! they over me around 120 euros and have offered my 1 months refund only!! they will never give there name out to you, the reason is that they can cut you off if they dont have any answers for you, they are pure robbers!

      ADSL

Telefonica have now upgraded (or are in the process) of upgrading Basic 39 Euro 512/128 DSL to 1024/320, this should not cost any more and is simply and upgrade to their service, however Telefonica for a few months before this happened started phoning customers and offering them a 1mb upgrade when asked whether it would cost any extra Telefonica were telling people it would not, and that it would still be 39 Euro, it was a blatent lie, they started charging 70 odd Euros immediatley the customer was upgraded, so you had to go through the hassle of complaining and getting it switched back down to 512, and a few people I know lost their connection entirely through this process

Another Telefonica story to add to the tales of woe

Yes Adrian, that's exactly what's happened to me. When I complain, they make a refund but don't really sort the problem which arises again the next month. They've got a damn cheek to charge nearly double for something which I haven't asked for.
I got two e-mails from them last month confirming that they would reinstate my previous speed and the 39 euros charge. Needless to say, they haven't.
I think it's time to change providers.
