Music/Eating/Places ideas - not tourist !

Hi

My family and I are going to be staying just outside Torrevieja and arriving on Monday 15th August.

We will have a hire car and I am looking for places to visit that are a bit more "off the beaten track" and not so much aimed at the tourists.

In particular I am interested in finding some good local musicians, restaurants and maybe some areas to visit away from all the hustle and bustle but not too remote as none of us can speak any Spanish !

There are 6 of us, ages range from 4 years old to nearly 70.

I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions including a good water park !

Just run that past me again,
you want to get away from the hustle but don't speak Spanish, how do you expect to be understood or understand what is being said to you , there are many places to visit Elche City of Palms , Novelda lots of museums Jumilla wine festival, as for restuarantes if you want typical Spanish food you will find them in places named, as for water parks there are 2 in the vicinity in Torrevieja & Quesada.

Many thanks for taking time to reply. I know it seems like a strange request when we don't really speak Spanish but I am just looking to do something a bit different if possible.
