CASHING TRAVELLERS CHEQUES

Hi - we are coming over to Torrevieja town on holiday next week and will be staying in the vicinity of the Friday market - can anyone recommend a good place to cash travellers cheques that doesn't involve walking miles (and doesn't take loads in commission)?

Hi Terrdee.

You will have enormous problems trying to cash travellers cheques in this (or indeed any other) area. Far better to bring your debit card and withdraw cash as you need it. Check with your bank for the exchange rate and any charges that may be applicable. This WILL be cheaper than using travellers cheques, as it is likely that the only place that will cash them (if you can find one) will charge you the earth (plus commission)>
