pool or hot tub

we are due out thurs for a flying visit.one thing i would like to sort is a small sunken pool or a hot tub.does any one have any info or opinions?maintainance,cost,where to view?any help would be appreciated.regards wayne.

Our neighbours have been looking into this and found that a small pool and a good hot tub cost about the same to buy. A pool looks less intrusive and more attractive but costs more to run and there is the mess while it is made + planning etc. The advantage of a hot tub is it can be removed when you move on and can be used all year. Check the local papers for various firms dealing with pools and hot tubs. I seem to remember that they were not keen on the tubs at Aqua 4 fun but liked those at a newish dealer along the N322 past Punta Prima towards La Zenia (sorry don't know the name and not in Spain at the moment))

I would always choose a pool, I have a 5x4 mtrs, not too expensive to run, poo, man twice a week in the summer once a week in the winter. Once you fill it its stays full, apart from a small amount of evaporisation. Not too sure about hot tubs the one up the road from us is filled and then emptied each time they visit - not a very good use of water, plus the additional costs involved

The trouble with hot-tubs and the like is that they can be a breeding ground for germs and bacteria if not thoroughly cleaned and maintained. Something to think about!
