autistic child?

i have friends that have just moved to torrevieja area and are looking for a school for there 9 yr old boy who is severley autistic, does anyone have any information that they would like to share with them? they would be very grateful.

I'm sorry to say this but shouldn't your friends have thought about this before moving to Torrevieja? Surely the wellfare and education of their son should have been the top priority before making the decision to move? Whereas it seems to be an afterthought.

thank you for your comment, but im sure my friends have thought this out thoroughly and are acting in the best interest of the child and im sure it was NOT an afterthought, but all the information that they can find would be extremely helpful and as you didnt actually have any to give your opininun would be best kept to yourself!!

my son attends a private school(although the fees are very reasonable) and they will look after your friends son very well.

My daughter also attends Mar Azul School and I can only concur with Sarah that it's a great school on the whole and that I too am sure your friends son would be well cared for.

If your friend's son is highly autistic, he will have his special educational and social needs met in a special needs school called ALPE in Torrevieja. It is a spanish school, but I know of several english children who attend with various levels of learning disabilities.
They are very helpful, although all are spanish staff as would be expected of a State School.
As far as I am aware the children have all got on extremely well there, despite the language differences.
The school is near to the large tall structure on one of the main through roads in Torrevieja near to the large leisure centre, sports complex.
