As i understand it would cost me about 700 euros to transfer my british car onto spanish plates.But does any-one know how much it would cost to transfer it back to british plates at a future date? and is it easy? I beleive the value would of course go down on the car if i put it on spanish plates,and it could be hard to sell on.

We are in the same situation as you - we have a good solid British car, but if we sell it to a cash in a flash man over here we would only get 1,800 euros for it ( it would be worth double that back in England!) but we cant be bothered to drive back to the U.K and sell it there! We have decided to transfer it to Spanish plates, and keep on running it until it dies!! You dont get much for them whether selling for cash or part ex ing them! We have had a quote of 550 euros ( diesel) less for petrol, but you have to buy the new headlights aswell.
