Does anyone have any information on the Cement Works and the Masa factory, just off junct 745 at the San Miguel roundabout near the Motorway, you can't miss it if you go to the Sunday Market!. I live on Montebello and when we were buying we were, of course, conned into believing that they would be moving after the Motorway was completed (4 years ago). the situation is now (we're told) that the Masa works are illegally situated and that the Mayor of Algorfa has given them an equivalent amount of land to which they have taken for them to re-site their business. Last year they moved one of their big illuminated signs down the Motorway towards Alicante but nothing further. Apparently they are getting fined every week and happily paying it. The big silos next to the Masa belong to a different company and the Cement Wagons which fill up from them come back to deposit their "spoilage" opposite which makes a total mess and degrades the entrance to our urbanisation. The whole situation makes it nearly impossible to sell any of the houses, which because of the works are really undervalued. I love Spain and it's people but why is there such a disregard of the laws of their own country or indeed the EU. I know that I am a foreigner in a foreign land and I am more than willing to adopt and assimilate Spain's laws and Customs and without wishing to be seen as a practitioner of onanism, but the lack of action, the lack of information and,of course, the apparently typical "Conned by the Builders Agents" situation never seems to be reaching any resolution. Any rumours, thoughts, or definite information would be gratefully recieved
