HELP! Lost NIE Certificate!!

We cant find my husbands original NIE certificate - I think it got mis placed when we were setting up our business! (I do have a copy of it though!)We now need the original as we are transferring our U:K car to Spanish plates. Can we just go to the police station in Elche and ask for another one? Also I cant remember how to get there(from near Quesada) and what times you can go in for the certificates. Can anyone help?!

Hi Joeybaby.

I can't help with directions or times but can confirm that you will need to reapply as if from new to get a copy of the original. You'll need the following:

2 x passport photos.
Original passport.
Copy of details page of original passport.
Completed application form.
Copy of completed application form.
May be worth taking your copy of the original NIE documentation.
