Playa Flamenca Beach Developement

When we were in Playa Flamenca week before last, Playa Flamenca beach parking area had been fenced off all the way across to the other small beach. I asked one of the guys who was errecting the fencing, what they were going to do. With my limited spanish I think he said they were going to build a promenade/walkway from one beach to the other, and it would take them one year to complete.
Does anyone else have any knowledge of what they are doing??

Playa Flamenca Beach

I seen that too; It does seem to be a prom: It has been rumoured for some years now that the intention was to build a prom from Torrevieja to La Zenia. They have done some work up tp Punta Prima. Maybe they are doing it in stages. I hope so as we enjoy walking from Playa Flamenca to Torre.
