Hello all,

I'am looking for a recepy for houmous and an address in Torre were I can purchase the "tahini" sauce. I think beastess posted this info once but I can't find it back !

here is a recipe for, I don'y know where you can get Tahini, but I understand that there is now a an Indian Spice store in Torrevieja, you should be able to get it htere

Good cooking

3 cloves garlic, sliced
1 lg handful parsley
2 spring onions
3 c cooked chick peas
6 tb tahini
6 tb fresh lemon juice
1 ts salt (to taste)

---------------------OPTIONAL.. CAYENNE AND---------------------------

-------------------------CUMIN TO TASTE-------------------------------

Instructions

1. Place garlic, parsley, and scallions in a food processor or
blender and mince. 2. Add chick peas, tahini, lemon juice, and salt,
and puree to a thick paste. by hand. The hummus wil have a coarser texture, but that can be nice
too.) 3. Season to taste, if desired, with cayenne and cumin ( and
correct he salt, if necessary). Tranfer to a tightly lidded container
and chill.

There is a health food shop in Torrevieja town where you can buy tahini. It is on Calle Concepcion between the main church square and the seafront. Sorry I can't remember the name of the shop but it is on a corner on the lefthand side as you go down that street from the church towards the sea.
