Photos for NIE

We are coming to Torre in early December to get our NIE cards. We have read elsewhere that when you get your photos you should remove your glasses Can any one confirm or deny this for us. Our passport photos have us wearing our specs as this reflects our normal apperance.

If you wear glasses normally you SHOULD wear them whilst you have your ID pics done.

Both my wife & I wear glasses everyday and all our ID photos show us wearing them.

If I were you I'd take a set of each. They seem to change the rules whenever they take their fancy.

I have seen it stated that you should remove your glasses for the photos, however I wear glasses and my NIE photo showed me wearing them. No questions were asked and the photos were accepted. You should definitely not wear sunglasses.

Thanks to all. A friend wnt thro the NIE prouedure last week and they have up'd it to e 3 photos now. Might help future applicants.

By the way, do your glasses come with bushy eyebrows, a fake nose, and a moustache? If so, you should definitely take them off for the photos

My not so secret is out! Some have said for the past 35 years that I bear an uncanny resembence to that late great comedian. Friends and collegues have called me GROUCHO for all those years!!!!!

This is nothing to do with the wearing of glass,s, however it may be useful.
We have recently processed our NIE numbers in Playa Flamenca. We were told by the lady processing our forms that the photo should be taken against a white back ground for security reasons. We were only asked for one photo from each of us.
