i have lost my dog!

hello everybody
i am sorry to bother you. but i need some advice.
I have lost my dog. black, female belgian shepherd, in the area of torrevieja, benijofar.

what do we have to do? we have already contacted the police and the "perreros".

is there anything else we could do despite of creating posters, informing veterinaries etc.?

we have been looking for the dog but she does not come back. she got lost on november 14th. we think that she might got stolen....

Jmonster, I am so sorry to hear you have lost your dog. I too have a black Belgian, I can't bear the thought of losing him
I suggest you post up on all the forums you can find - there is quite a big one - Torrevieja.co.uk - but it seems to have gone down at the moment. But keep trying!
Also you can try costapages.com - there are dog lovers on there who will help if they can.
Was your girl tagged?
Have you tried the dog rescue centres?
I'm not living in Spain yet so cannot physically help in your search.
I do hope she turns up soon.
Anyone reading this please bump it to the top to make as many people as we can aware.

Why don't you post a picture of your dog on here. That way if anyone sees her they will know whom she belongs to. Also might help to put her picture in local papers. (With contact number )
People on here are very good and I am sure they will look out for her.
What is her name??
Some time back a dog that went missing came back on her own after 3 - 4 weeks. So don't give up heart.

thank you so much for your reply.
i am also not leaving physically in spain. it is my parents' dog that got lost. but as they do not speak any english i am posting here. i noticed that a lot of foreigners in the area of torrevieja have animals...... so i thought it might be better to also post on a page for english-speaking people.

i have no picture yet. but i will ask my mum for it. the dog has no chip but was wearing a collar.

i have written a message to all veterinaries in the area. unfortunately, i could not find out the addresses of all the rescue centres.... but we are working on it.

well, i am so silly. i am crying like a child.... but we really love the dog. thanks for the support. the dog's name is : "KIKA"....... sounds as follows: "keekah"..... or the italian version: Chicca.....

Sorry to hear about your parents dog - its heartbreaking, but I'm sure she will turn up! I dont know if this is relevant to you but there is a dog wandering around the recorral ( near to Benijofar) A few local people have been trying to catch it, but I dont have a description of the dog, sorry. Maybe someone else knows more about it? Good luck on your search - I will keep my eyes peeled!

hello, unfortunately, at recorral near Benijofar it was not our dog. as it seems it was a brown big dog... walking around.
i have today received some pictures from my parents. but as it seems they cannot be posted here as they are on my pc.... anyhow... i will post hte pics on other sites.
