Transporting of Car from UK to Spain

Could somebody give me some details of companies that do this. I think there is one company that will also pick up goods for you at shops in UK and bring them over for you, say you bought something in B&Q, ARgos etc and they pick up your car in UK and bring it over to Spain for you.

Any help appreciated.

Unless its a brand new high spec car I would say think about it carefully. If you are planning to stay here and it sounds like you are then you will have to get it re-registered to a Spanish plate and this involves paperwork and some expense and at the end of the day the steering wheel is still on the wrong side for driving here. As for having other things brought over well you can get everything you need or want here, somethings will be cheaper but some will be a little more expensive.

There are companies that will deliver car to Europe for you but it very expensive. If you intend to leave the car at a long term car park (more expense) and only occasionaly use I would say you are better just to hire a car as required. Other than peak times in July and August car hire in Spain is cheap. Check the internet and look for Europcar/Auriga etc not Hertz/ Avis.

I brouhgt a car to Spain with me and the reds tape in changing to Spanish plates was unbelivableso as previous posts suggest if you want long term car use in Spain - buy one there.

contact Helens Trucks, they have been doing this service for the last 4 years
however the pint that was made in the previous posts is worth considering as Spain is seriously cracking down on non Spanish vehicles.
