  • Torrevieja Furniture Stores

I need to furnish my apartment and I am planning on doing this in one visit in early January as I thought that there maybe some furniture sales on at the bigger stores. Do they have January sales on as in the UK?

I remember one big store on the 332 on the other side of Alicante which was on three floors. Can anyone direct me to other big furniture stores near Torrevieja? I have seen a few smaller stores in Torrevieja town centre but there was not much choice.

If I was to purchase furniture what is the normal delivery period?

Thank you for any replies in advance, Mark

    Hi

Give Hons Garcia a try I have bought loads of furniture from them. They give you a delivery day and normally a 4 hour time slot. Any furniture that needs putting togather they will do and if you have things like a washing machine for a small fee they will take your old one away (about 6 euro's).

The two storey shop of their's is behind the Carrefour but before Juegolandia (think that is spelt right), on the right sttrange way of getting into it so be careful.

    Hope that helps.

      Furniture

There is a big store on the N332 coming from alicante to Torrevieja on the left hand side called Todomuebles, again they will put everything together and fit it all for you, nearly all able to speak English and then Garcias by Carrefour, downstairs is garden furniture and other stuff, then another floor with electrical etc and then upstairs more furniture.

So I think there is enough choice there, the ones in Torrevieja are not much good. Dont know who you are buying through, but there is Arca in Torrevieja town centre, but this is very overpriced.

        Carrefour

Thank you for your reply. Todomuebles on the N332 sounds very promising I will take a look at that. Can you give me vague directions to Carrefour?

We have shops in El Galan & Los Balcones called Home & Living, and whilst we may not be able to cover all your requirements we do sell ex catalogue small occasional furniture from Argos etc.

You are more than welcome to pop in and have a browse to see if anything catches your eye. We also do a very good proced ramge of Garden Furniture and all other home accesories.

Get a free street map of Torrevieja from the Tourist Info. It's a very good map and shows the hypermarket

You can buy in the UK January sales have it shipped out and reclaim the VAT. I done this last year the VAT rebate more than covered the shipping cost. Otherwise I would second Hons Garcia

                      Hi there JDC

Would be most interested in hearing how you claimed VAT back when you are buying and shipping within the EU

I was under the impession (perhaps mistakenly) that VAT had to paid in all EU countries, so if you do not pay VAT in UK surely you must have to pay it when you bring it into Spain.

                      Regards

                      Glynne

                        Furniture

Glyne I believe you dont pay VAT when importing home furnishing into Spain. I bought a three seater sofa and an armchair from sCs at lakeside I did not shop for the cheapest exporter I just hired one near to Lakeside. Get the bill for the goods from store, get a shipping note from whoever ships your goods, return to the store with both your VAT will be refunded. Ask in any store before you buy they will tell you the same. BTW I would also recommend Home & Living bought lots from them any bargains
