Buying in Spain

Hi Everyone,
My wife and I intend to buy a property in Spain as a holiday home. Not sure about the Costa's. Have been there on holidays but becoming very expensive, both cost of living and property prices. What do you think of more inland. Prices seem to be much cheaper. Our biggest worry about more inland is the very hot climate.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
