Hi

Need some advice, I have one of the standard Domo telephones in my house and have downloaded the instructions in english for it (before anyone tells me to), but I am confused. It has the answerphone system on it but how do I get it to answer in english? Or is it possible to change the outgoing message for an english one. You know like record my own message. I don't mind it in Spanish but people get confused when they phone me and are not sure if they have dialled the right number. I would ideally like to record my own answerphone message and my question is can this be done on these phones? And if so how?

Yes it is possible to change the language to Englsih and to record your own welcome message.
To change the language, clear all messages then press the mensajes button, select 1 from the menu then 4 then enter 0000 (this is the default PIN which is the norm) then select 3 then 1 then 1 again to confirm.
Thereafter you can record your own message by following the instruction which should then be in English. The sequence here should be press mensajes, then select 1 then 1 again then enter 0000 then 2 then 2 again then speak your message then press hash then 1 to confirm everything.
If, the first time you enter the 4 zeros you hear the voice saying numero no correcto then chances are that your phone number has previously been allocated to another person who has set their own PIN (this happened to me) you will then have to contact Telefonica and ask them to reset the PIN, this will take about 24 hours, then you can proceed as above.
