hi all ,

can anyone recommend anywhere in torry, where I can purchase a laptop comp; with wireless networking, broadband etc; - I've heard Carrefor have a quite a good range-- any suggestions or is it better and cheaper to buy in blighty??

Can't recommend anywhere cheaper but there is a couple of computer shops in Torre. I know the shop you mentioned is cheaper but they can also be a little difficult should you have problems with anything, this I have found from personal experience with them. Although the problem was resolved eventually it took a while and the crossing of some language barriers!

I have taken my UK laptop to Spain and find that is fine for me out there.

I think we will do the same as there are some good deals on the Net at present. Do you have a back up system should the mains fail, I have heard from neighbours this is a good precaution - any thoughts!!!

There are some really good deals around at the moment. I would suggest using an anti surge adapter. Because Spain does tend to have an awful lot of electrical surges. Apart from that laptops do have batteries so just keep your one charged ie whenever you use it use the power cable rather than on battery alone and you should be ok. My battery needs replacing actually I don't think the overall life of these batteries is fantastic but they are replaceable.

He is very reasonable & will not rip you off, his shop is near the Park of Nations.

If you buy from the Uk, which I was going to do, it is not guarenanteed.
