Padron

My wife and I signed on the Padron about 9 months ago. At the risk of being boring, does anyone know how often it has to be renewed.

Usually as often as you need to use it. Padrons can be used for quite some time depending on the mood of the person accepting it .

If yours is 9 months old it may be worth getting a new one.

In my experience, they may ask you why you need another one.

I was told you must renew it at least every 12 months, but when we bought a new car they wanted us to renew a 8 month old one!! so now we just renew about every 9 months or so, it is no problem to do this, it takes 2 mins at the most

Hello Keith,

To the best of our knowledge, if you need it for something important, the padron must be less than 3 months old.

But I could be corected on that.

Wendy's right.

Although there is no requirement to renew your Padron, if you need to present it (e.g. to buy a car) you will generally need an up-to date copy. Up to three months old should be OK.
