Dream Hills
YOu could buy everything you wanted in Hons Garcia near Carrefour except for the curtains, bedding etc and very reasonable. If you have only a week to do it in, really will not be enough time, it takes 2-3 days for the notary everything. Possibly if you bought stuff they had in stock they could deliver the next day. They fit everything for you. Depends what agent you went with they may take you to furniture shop etc during the first 2-3 days.

Vinney,
I noticed when checking the legal board that you enquired into the legal aspects of planning permission for your pool.
You should always apply for permisson as otherwise you will be fined and don't listen to people who tell you the fine is usually cheaper to receive than bothering to apply for the planning permission as I have had first hand experience of it happening.
We were let down by our builder he said he would apply for permission and he did not he carried out the installation of the pool and then we got fined from the town hall 2000 euros. In hind sight it wouold have only cost us 900 euros had we done it at the start ourselves.
Before you allow the builder to start the work you can apply for the permission yourself at the local town hall if you speak a bit of Spanish or get the builder to apply for the permission at the town hall for you but don't rely on him having done it unless he presents you wiht the paperwork, you will then get a receipt with an application number on it from the town hall. Really you shouldn't start the work untill you have full permission but most people go ahead.
To install a pool you will need architect's drawings x3 copies, one for yourself and two for the town hall cost us 500 euros to have the plans drawn up, these are then submitted to the town hall along with the licence application fee which in our case was 400 euros for a 8x4 swimming pool then it is a case of waiting until the permission is granted time constraints differ for different town halls. Hope this has shed some light on the matter for you. The walls if you heighten them can be heightened to 1.4m without planning permission. You even need planning permission if you are going to lay tiles outside on your driveway or around the pool area.
