costa blanca ex pats

hi its vinny again has anyone joined or tried to join the costa blanca expats group? its a spanish link on dream hills website. i have opened yahoo e mail etc and still had no luck. how do they decide who joins and for what reasons do they refuse. can any one shed any light on this thanks vinny

Its a yahoo group and as far as I know, you have to get an invite from the moderator. To get that, an existing member has to ask the moderator to send you said invite. Maybe someone on the dreamhills site can help. That group has a large following from the north of the Costa, ie Javea etc.

The link from the Dream Hills web site should take you to the front page of the Costa Blanca Ex-Pats group, where it says

"This private group is for all those living, or thinking of coming to live, on Spain's Costa Blanca. Membership is by invitation only. To ask for an invitation, send an e-mail to the owner and moderator ........"

Click on the moderators name, it is a mailto link which creates a new message to send to the moderator

thanks for the info allready posted a request to join but all i recieves back was a msg from bill hayes showing first line of my original request with a msg at the bottom saying we do things differently here . that is why i asked about what enables you to be accepted to become a member. maybe i will try again thanks vinny

Having done that, you should get a message back in a few days welcoming you to the group and giving log-in details.

Bill Hayes' strapline is, I believe, "This is Spain - we do things differently here".

well it has been a week now and i still have had no confirmation from expats group. i guess they refused my application to join.so no worries i will continue to use other sites regards vinny
