I have taken and passed the Medical Examination required to renew my Driving Licence
Being 79 years of age I have previously enjoyed the privilege of a FREE Renewal except for paying for the Medical Examination, a fee of about 15 to 17 Euros.
This time things were different. An extra charge of 27 Euros was made for Solicitors fees.
Apparently the Licence can no longer be renewed at the Alicante Traffic Offices, either personally or by post.
It is being done by a solicitor and to be collected in about three weeks at the Offices where the Medical Examination was done
Since taking the Exam. I have learned that above is incorrect. Visiting the Offices or using the Postal arrangement is still in operation
Unfortunately customers are being misled into paying an extra 27 Euros for the unnecessary services of a solicitor by the Medical Examination Centre I used.
