Has anyone any experience of having had their pool heated??

How much does it cost to install and what method??

Hi Katrina.

There are approximately 3 types of solar products for heating pools, there are also electric heat pumps available to do the job, although the electric pumps are very expensive to run.

The cost of a solar system depends on the size of your pool, also the availability of space required for whichever type of panels you choose. The "HELIOCOL" panels are the cheapest and also the best for people who just wish to extend the swimming season, they have been in use throughout Europe for many years and come with a 10 year guarantee.

I would say that to create an effective pool heating system for 300 to 400 euros is impossible, but I am willing to be proved wrong and very intrigued to know how you would achieve it, so could you let us know how it's done.

Sun! I don't think we will be seeing much of that soon. In the 20 years I have been in Spain this has got to be the worst year yet for the lack of sun.
