Has anyone had any dealings with these people for transfering money to or from the UK?

Are they reliable?

Any info/feedback would be appreciated.

Hi - are you talking about lump sum or regular monthly amounts for example for mortgage - there are a few around - I used currenciesdirect initially four years ago to transfer a couple of biggish amounts 10k+ then monthly amounts of 400 sterling with no charges either end (Cambank) - couple of years ago currenciesdirect introduced a 5.00 pm transfer charge so I moved to Global Currency Exchange Network GCEN (part of HSBC) transfer monthly to Spain my Cambank no charges either end and you get corporate rate of course - easy to set up - regards

i used HIFX when I bought my house 2 years ago. Pretty straightfrorward. Reasonable rates on lump sum transfers. They did what they said they would do. Nothing more, nothing less! I dont think they do small amounts say under 5 to 10K.

Thanks for your help; I need to send one large lump sum over to the UK and will use HIFX. They seem to be offering the best rate at the moment but I had never heard of them before and just wanted to make sure they were OK.
