3200 cigs thats, what my wife had,and the nice customs people took them all off her, she was traveling back on her own, to the uk for my brother's furneral.
yes she is a smoke, she was alone and not well, and this b-----d grilled her for an hour before saying I don't think there your cigs, and took them off her she coming over my brothers funneral,( her brother in-law, funeral was yesterday this happened on sunday.) they would be better off going to dover and doing something usefully like checking the cars and lorrys for wapons ans drugs which is pouring in to the country the tossers.
Caden, whilst I sympathise with you over the hassle your wife went through at a difficult time, if she was returning to the UK for a funeral, how long was she staying, a few days? a week? 3200 ciggies is a bit much even for a very heavy smoker. Clearly not for her own use. Maybe thats why they gave her so much grief. Although as you say they'd be better off catching real criminals.
I was under the impression you are allowed 16 cartons totaling 3200 cigs. I always bring this amount back and I don't smoke. Which airport confiscated them?
scorpio. why say that? you can say that about any one with more than a couple of packets of cigs. my wife was flying back after the funeral to be back with her mother who she had to leave on her own, and I think that's what the caring officer did'nt like.
