Has anybody tried the Hungarian restaurant on the lemon road? I thinks its called "Budapest". Its the one with the boat outside it. If so is it any good? Price / quality? Thinking of trying next time I am over?

I think it is the best restaurant in the area, excellent service and food at a reasonable price.

Yes it is very good, you might like to try Casa Nicolas near Centrocan on Crevillente Rd.... it's superb. British run but the owner/chef is French, the food is excellent.

Grossly overpriced for very average food. Noisy band playing, one of whom then pestered us to death until we bought his CD. So expensive we just had to laugh in the end. Lunchtime menu is reasonable apparently but evenings a place to avoid.

Thanks for the replies folks, I read the first two and thought hey this sounds really good. Then I read Scorpios...! I now you can't please everybody but there is a real contrast in these replies.

Can I just ask:

Do they cater for fussy kids; and
Is the best time to go lunchtime or evenings?

ps. I stay near Centrocan so I may try your other recommendation. Is that the one just past Lakeside Restaurant?
