documents certified?

HI im sick of carrieing my passport and driving doc's around all the time!!! i know that i can get them certified and made credit card size but were do i get this done!!!!! there's lots of difrent storys of were this can be done, IE the police station the townhall the notary, what i'd like to know is were's the closest place to flamenca beech this can be done at the chepest price

Hi, I am afraid you will have to carry your passport until you get your residencia. A lot of places, Carrefour included will not accept the reduced passports.
We got over it by going to our solicitor and asked if we could get certified passport/car document copies. He did them for us and they were validated by the Notary. i think it cost us 3euros per copy. These are accptable by all (including the police)
There is a shop in a street opposite the Square in Torreviela that will reduce your passport and laminate it.

that's what im looking for something that the police wiil accept!! cos if im going to carrefour i can take my passport thats no prob cos ill know i need it before i go shopping, you say E3 that sounds cheep!!!!! will your solicitor do mine at that price do you think? theres lots of places i can get it photocopyed but it was the certification to make it legal was what i wanted to know about so anymore info would be great thanks

Hi, I dont know what price our solicitor would charge you, we pay him an annual fee so we can consult him 24/7 things like that he does very cheaply. It might be an idea to ask yours. All we did was explain to him what we needed, he took the documents, got them copied and then verified by the Notary.
I do believe you can get photocopies verified by the local police at the police station, but my Sanish is not good enough to ask them, might be worth a try

Hi,

You can only get a notarised copy from the Notarys. You can go in there yourself without using a solicitor and they shouild be able to help.

However you cannot use a notarised copy of a passport in Carrefour as they do not accept thos. I use my photocard Uk driving licence and this is accepted. It is also widely accepted everywhere else and saves me having to carry my driving licence, as I do not have residencia as I am a fiscal resident.

thanks for that info mrs jester i'll just carrie my photo card with me it seems alot easyer that going and messing about with leagal people anyway they aways want money & this seems like a way i can save some
