I am very sad to confirm that there has been a major train disaster in Valencia. At least 34 people have lost their lives and there are a significant number of injuries.
Terrorist involvement is not suspected and it is believed that excessive speed and a broken wheel casued this tragedy. The Spanish premier has cut short his trip to India to return to Valencia.
I am sure that I spoke for all on this forum when I express my commiserations to the family and friends of all concerned.
