  • Water Presure in Playa Flamenca

    Hi

Wondering if anyone can help me in the quest to have a shower in my house.
I have a 3 bathroom house which has very low presure and I can only use one tap or shower at a time. I've fitted a new boiler as the old one was broken and this seems to have made it a little better although it's still very bad.
I now think this must have something to do with the feed into the house. Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be fixed as I think I might need to speak to the water company, does anyone have a number please?
    Many thanks

    Hi

Outside your house there should be a box set in the wall with your water meter in it. Open the box with a pair of mole grips. Firstly, make sure the tap is fully open. If it is, then turn off the water tap (obviously!!) and then unscrew the pipes at each end of the meter with a pair of large mole grips or a big spanner. Inside the connection bits there are little fliters, and these can easily get blocked up with bits of dirt, stones, etc, particularly if it is a fairly new house as the builders don't care what they chuck down the pipes. Clear all these out and see if this makes a difference. We did this on ours and there were big lumps of concrete in the pipes.

If you are not that confident a DIY man, you can call Aquaguest on 902 250 270 - the guy in the office at the town hall told me they now speak English on that number, and get them to come and do it for you.

Failing all that, you can ask Aquagest to increase the pressure to your property.

    Hope this helps.

    Debbie
