work availability in and around torre

hi everyone, myself and my wife will hopefully be moving to the torrevieja area soon, after a 1 or 2 month settling period we both plan to work part time, can you tell me if part time work is readily available all year round and what sort of work we can expect to find, is it all bar/restaurant work, and is any work available on the urbs or is in torre itself. many thanks

IF YOU HAVE A SKILL YOU WILL FIND WORK ON THE URB BUT TO DO OFFICE OR SHOP WORK IS RARE UNLESS YOU SPEAK SPANISH

thanks rosie, we dont speak spanish and our skills are limited, i'm a fork lift truck driver and my wife is a shop superviser so looks like we may struggle. would you say we're limited to bar work

Yep Bar work IF you can find it. If you can, don't expect more than 5 Euros per hour.

To add to above remark quite possibly if you get bar/restaurant work you will have your hours cut or be laid off when winter arrives. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, hope it works out for you.

thanks for your replies, we're even more nervous now.. can you think of any other sorts of jobs other than bar/resraurant we may be able to look for on urbs or in torre itself

Why dont you check out the freebie papers also ring up holiday management companys to see if they need help with holiday changeovers. The money is not good here and people do tend to work long hours but if you dont try you will always wonder. Also try estate agency companys to see if they need any sales staff.

moving to villamartin

we are moving to villamartin at the end of April, could anyone tell me of any local schools for our 5 year old daughter and are there any hospitals or clinics nearby as i am a qualified nurse and hope to be able to find work.
