TELEFONICA. Advice on cancellation procedure for ADLS please

Hi All,

I have been based in Thailand (not permanently) now for 4 months and am here currently.

I have a telefonica land-line AND their ADSL service. Obviously I am paying an arm & and leg for my Internet service (about 46 Euros a month I think) and I wish to cancel this from HERE in Thailand as I am not sure when I return to Spain.

It is my intention to keep my land-line and phone. It is only the ADSL Internet service I am wishing to cancel.

I have searched the Telefonica web-pages (all in Spanish) but I cannot find a contact email address or instructions on how to go about cancelling my ADSL service.

Please can anybody advise me who I email or phone to arrange this.

Obviously I cannot visit one of their shops in Torrevieja so I have to do the necessary by email, mail or phone (preferably not phone in the first instance due to cost of calls to Spain, and ideally initially email to get things going fast)

Telefonicainenglish is not actually Telfonica itslef but a private retailer (agent) of that name.

My understanding is that they ONLY deal with service matters and such cancellations where the service was ordered via themselves in the first place.

I obtained my ADSL direct form Telefonica itself therefore I do not think I can go down the route you suggest.

I'm afraid you will have to get through to their inquiry line and they will give you a fax number. You then fax them with the details of youre account, i.e youre passport number and a photocopy of it, and ask them to cancel. Make sure you use the passport number you had when you opened the account.
The bad news is I cannot remember the tel number but I am sure you could get a friend here to phone them and get the fax number.
