you want to get to alicante by 0630 i got my nie in september after getting
up early three mornings on the trot good luck

We got 1 NIE number between us because we had the same UK address ??
Did it at Elche, no problem.

My advice would be to use Elche rather than Alicante, Alicante is a "free for all"

Elche is the best bet as long as your needs are not urgent,It can take 6 weeks to get your number doing it this way,
I would still get there quite early ,I was there at the police station for about 7.30am ,there was alot of people there ,mainly spanish residants for one thing or another.A policeman will hand out numbers for spanish residents first and then for extranjeros. Try to figure out were you are amongst the foreigners for your number and thenwait for the office to open. You will see various que points you will want the second one which is extranjeros a number will come up in the office on a display ,and when the number comes up before yours go in and wait your turn .
It was somthing I was dreading after listening to various accounts on this forum and I decided it was Elche for me,and it turned out to be quite painless . I was back having my breakfast at about 10am. All the best and welcome
