Hi, as a newbie buyer through an agent, I was wondering if there is a link or if anyone can help me .

What I was after is a list of things I should be considering doingwith regard to making my move to Spain stress free.

I realise I have to get an NIE number and I have set up a Spanish bank account, but what about payment of bills ie electric/gas/taxes also I have heard you should make out a Spanish will. Any help would be really appreciated.

All of this can be done through your solicitor normally if you give them power of attorney. Mine set up all the direct debits for utilitys and the bank account itself. And they helped with the NIE numbers.
Might be worth speaking to your solicitor.

Anything you need to know

Just speak to your solicitor, preferably use an independent solicitor, not the one the agent has given you. They will organise electricity etc for you, you only need power of attorney if you are not going to be there, but if you are going to be out before you complete then they will take you through everything and tell you what you need. Yes you do need a Spanish Will, as your british one doesnt cover your spanish property.
