I wonder if anyone can give me any advice on how to scrap a car? I have an old banger that needs to go, but is it complicated - lots of forms etc to fill in at the scrapyard? The car is illegal, but could be driven to the yard, but if the police stopped me on the way would they let me go knowing I was on my way to the yard, or do scrap yards come and collect cars? Also it has been off the road for a year on my friends drive -way, after failing its ITV, so would I have to pay all the suma up to date before I scrap it? Also, do I have to pay the scrap yard for the honour of scrapping it? I would appreciate any help from anyone who has done this before!!
