medical emergencies and 999-equivalent numbers

I am hoping I never have to use this but can anyone provide some help.

I have a place in Los Altos.
I am non-resident
I have an EU health card (ie e111)

If I have a medical emergency (the type where in the UK I would drive to A&E), where would I go to. I know some hospitals are private patients only - is there a Spanish NHS-equivalent hospital?
Or is there a clinic?

Plus can anyone direct me to the 999-equivalent numbers?

The Spanish national equivalent of a 999 call is 112.

Not an expert on hospitals but would suggest the best place to go in an emergency would be the Vega Baja hospital in Orihuela.
