If you try their website, it still says that it has closed. If it were to re-open, I would have thought they would have updated their site.

That's interesting. Unfortunately I am in the UK at the moment, so don't have access to the what's on guide. Is it available on line? It would be great if it has re-opened, as I think it was a terrific venue, especially if you are of a certain age, as I am. We last saw the Swinging Blue Jeans there back in March/April, and it really brought the memories flooding back. Hope the news is true, as we would love to go again.

          Hi
Santa Pola Palace is now a Chinese Restaurant.
I am in the entertainment business, and as far as I know there are no plans to re-open it or to open another Santa Pola Palace. Montipiedra Palace has also closed.
The RTN entertainment guide has not been updated for some time, and still lists various bars that are no longer operating.
If I hear anything I will let you know.

Thanks for that Keith. At least we now know, even if it is disappointing news.

Your welcome Brian, if I hear anymore I will put it on here.
By the way see you are in Wemouth, I worked at Pontin's Osmington back in the early 70's and lived near the Springhead pub in Sutton Poyntz. ( Have I spelt it right? it was a long time ago.)

              cheers Keith

Your spelling is spot on Keith. The Osmington Bay camp is no longer a part of Pontins though, itis now used as a children's activity adventure park. You may remember that Pontins also used to own the Riviera Hotel at Bowleaze Cove, but that is now in private hands.

The Springhead Hotel is still at Sutton Poyntz, and is still a very popular local hostelry.
