can anyone give me some Help?

I need advise on how I can force a british builder to complete work undertaken on our house. Unfortunately, he is a neighbour (recommended by others!) who has failed to instal doors on a brick built store to the side of our house. I stupidly paid him in full before leaving spain in May as he had completed the store apart from the doors. Whilst on holiday for 3 weeks during July, I hounded this person continually as he lives only a few doors away but, to no avail. Anyone got any suggestions?

A nice stern letter saying that you do not wish to take him through the legal process or name and shame him on this and other forums, but if he does not do the work you have paid for then you will have no option but to start these processes, finishing off saying that you hope common sense can prevail as after all you do have to live as neighbours.

He might have it done by xmas or you could just phone him everyday from home or get the russians in, you know what I mean.

Seems like a good idea but, Roubles don't come easy! See you Xmas.

why do the brits insist on using brits. the spanish are brilliant, cheaper, turn up on time and finish the jobs on time. the best people to ask are business owners who usually have telephone numbers of spanish with good english. have you asked the neighbours who recommended this prat if they had any difficulty getting their jobs done?. general enquiries are not gossip, but certainly have the same effect.
