  • SIGNING ON THE PADRON

My fiance and I would like to sign on the padron.
We know we have to go to the town hall in order to do this but we need to know what we need to take with us.
I have heard you need to have a utility bill, either water or electric.
We live in my partners mum and dads house, we dont pay any rent. The water and electric bills are in her name - its just the phone bill and internet that we have in our name. Does anyone know what we need to take with us under these circumstances?

      Thanks for that Steve.
Are you saying then that we need all the following from 1-4? And when you say authorisation from property owner...will a letter signed by them do?

I had the same probelm when I first came here and signing on the padron at San Miguel.

I solvd the problem and took my mum with me who took her identification with her and I took my birth certificate which showed my mums name and marriage certificate which showed my maiden name. He then had her douments for the house, escritura, electric bill etc and we had no problems.
