Does anyone know if there is a duty free shop passenger side of airport?

They have just altered the check in desks in the past month but the shop is still there and was open a couple of weeks ago when I was there. Not sure of the prices though !!

Seemed just to have UK brands of brandies when I looked last week(maybe wrong) but we wouldn't buy those. We like local like Torres 5 for mixers & Torres 10, for drinking on its own. Nothing like Alicante airport. We choose Murcia because of the better flight times from Bristol. In future we shall ensure we take a case if we want to bring back any booze.

We never realised we couldn't take booze through in hand baggage last week as they'd relaxed security since last month when we could do so so had to give away 4 litres of wine to a stranger. I would rather do that that hand it to security.

        Duty Free Liquor and Tobacco

Duty Free has not existed since 1992 when it was abolished by the E.U.

The prices you pay at Airports is the local Duty Paid price which is a lot lower than the U.K because they have the Spanish Tax included.

          Addick,

It's a "term of endearment" is "Duty Free". We know what we mean.

I have just returned to the UK via Murcia and would say that all the goods on sale in the 'Duty Free' shop can be bought much cheaper in any of the supermarkets locally.

Yes, they certainly CAN but, for people who just travel with HAND BAGGAGE it is the ONLY alternative. If I take a suitcase I ALWAYS buy from a supermarket.
