Hi there ! Does anybody have any information regarding train services to Barcelona from Alicante/Orihuela ? Any idea of fares, times of services, time taken etc . Gracias

I flew last week from Murcia. It was cheaper than the train. Left at 7.30 and back the next day on the 18.30ish.

Hi I am also interested in the cost of the flight also how much did it cost you from the airport to town and back and time it takes from check in at Murcia to arrival in Barcelona centre. I think its 5hours from Alicante centre to Barcelona centre so it would be good to compare it

We took the train to Barcelona from Alicante last year. it was reasonable price, very comfortable, on time and you can transfer directly to the underground system that will take you to the popular parts of Barcelona in minutes.

One tip is book in advance. We didnt and the only seats available were in smoking carriage.. and boy do the Spanish smoke!!

There is a little local station just off the motorway close to Torrevieja and you can park your car there for free and the train takes you into Alicante. I cant remember the name but am sure someone will know.
