Water Meter - costs

Can anyone tell me approx. cost of water per unit. I have not received a charge for usage as yet. Think someone has been using my water supply as arrived back to apartment after winter to find 83 units added to meter.

If you have an outside tap it is very possible that someone has connected up to your supply, could be anybody, next door neighbour, community maintainence. Do you leave it accessible ??
Not saying that it is definitely this but I've been there, if you know what I mean.

Sorry, I can't as we're still on builder's water but that's a lot of water ! We have an outside tap & it's set me off wondering if this will happen to us once we're on mains. It's so possible others COULD nick our water & it seems as if you have been "used", doesn't it ?

After being flooded I always turn water off from the main when I go home. But while in Spain I have seen builders helping themselves to water from unoccupied properties,late last year I saw a neighbour wave someone off to the airport then proceed to wash his car using his neighbours hose.

Cost of water per unit

Good Evening: servicepoint,
You asked what the price of the water per unit is, These prices are taken from my last bill I got in December 2006.

The FIRST 20 Cubic meters of water they charge 0.3723 Euros + IVA(vat)
From 21 / 45 Cubic meters of water they charge 0.8554 Euros + IVA(vat)
Anything over 45 Cubic Meters of water will be 1.0455 Euros + IVA(vat)

I hope this is of some use to you,-----A little tip, I went to a builders merchants and got myself a key that opens your water meter box outside the house, It cost only a few euros, Do what I do, before I go home I go and take my own reading from the meter,then turn off the water using the stopcock in the box then close it with the key,this way NO ONE will use your water, and when you come back turn it back on again,----- PROBLEM SOLVED

We have just been out to our property, and some friends of ours have seen a family using our outside water supply.
Our friends kindly removed the tap handle, hopefully this will deter them from using it.
