Quesada is about 15 mins from where you will be staying depending on which end of dona pepe you apartment is
Plenty of places to eat-if you find the gama supermarket near Laurel and Hardys there is a restaurant "ASIA"which serves a great banquet style menu from 7 euros with a bottle of wine thrown in
Another nice chinese is The Banana Tree in Quesada itself. Loads of eating places about but you will need to go further afield for Tapas
No shortage of supermarkets either-walking distance to Gama Lidel Consum and a short drive to the nearest Mercadona or there is always Carrefour but that tends to be very busy durring the summer months
    Enjoy your stay

You will need a car or very strong legs and time to keep you going as places are well spread out

        Hi Sylvia77,

I know Mijas Costa and liked it, but bought on this coast as you get more for your money.

I presume you are driving over, from your other posting! Where you are staying is about 3 to 5miles, from the coast. ( someone may give you exact distance)

It depends what you are looking for, urbanisation with villas townhouses and lots of other Brits, and a british way of life, Spanish towns with a mix of old and new properties and a more Spanish way of life, rural inland areas with villas with plenty of land, or beachside apartments.

Having spent time on the Costa Del Sol, you have some idea of life in Spain and maybe of what will suit you best. I think it is wise to rent for a year, if you intend to move out here permanently, as many people have found once here, what they got was not always what made them happiest! Anything else you wish to know? I will help if I can!
