what todo in and around torrevieja and guardamar

visiting my brothers villa inbetween tow places above - 2nd time -did all the obvious stuff last year - looking for any ideas, recommendations of nice places to eat drink and be merry - 3 adults - two post 50 and Grandard (who isnot terrible fit and mobile) - all suggestions would be welcome - and OOPS - we leave on Saturday but we shall be back! We do have use of a car

For something different, you could try visiting the Cuevas del Rodeo artists cave village in Rojales - about 5 Km from Guardamar inland along the Segura river to Rojales, then follow the signs for Cuevas.
Best entrance to the cave village is from top of hill behind the college.
A little bit of walking will be required - footpaths & some steps - but interesting to see the artists & their work plus opportunity to purchase & a great little bar there.
On the first Sunday of each month they have an artists market & on Friday evenings there's live music at the bar which has great views over the town of Rojales towards the mountains.

Cuevas

Can you give me directions please. I would be travelling from Torrevieja on the 332. presumably I go towards Guardarmar.
also planning on going Friday night in July for the music. is this on all evening?

From Torrevieja take the 332 northwards following it as it veers left to bypass Guardamar, then take the next exit & follow signs for Rojales onto CV-910 & leave at first exit (still signed Rojales - left turn)
Over roundabouts & stay on main road till 2nd roundabout (with metal sculpture on it) & turn left into Rojales. Then turn right at signed road to Cuidad Quesada follow out up hill then turn back on yourself to college.

I haven't actually been to the music nights myself yet as I only discovered the caves just before I returned to UK and will try it out in June, but I think it goes on all evening.
