Local Elections

What happened to the 'Ex pat' candidate running on the anti corruption ticket in the local elections?

I read an article in the Mail and it seemed that they had got good backing and a Spanish candidate to stand on their behalf.

i see from the article on this site that the usual party stay in power.

CLARO came on top in Orihuela Costa but not enough votes to get anyone onto the council The PP are still in power but with a new mayor who promised lots of things, we will see if she carries them out.
