Hiring Wheelchairs

Can anyone give information about hiring a wheelchair in the Orihuela/Torrevieja area?

I think i have seen a thread before on this subject and seem to rememeber something about a ex pat run charity that provideds this service.

If you know the area near Mercadona heading from Torrevieja towards Quesada there is a hire shop on the Lakeside complex who will hire just about anything you could possibly need including wheelchairs

The guy who owns the place is English and is very helpful. He has a variety of wheelchairs available for hire depending on the size/requirements of the user and offered us a good deal when my Mothers own wheel chair broke whilst we were in Spain
